The goal of Cascade Powder Cats is to find untracked, deep powder snow for you to ride in. If you only have skis that are designed for hard packed snow it would be highly recommended that you consider renting from us or from your favorite shop. If you have not used powder equipment before there are lots of new designs to choose from. Powder skis are generally longer and wider than equipment designed for hard pack snow. The middle of the ski or waist is generally above 90 millimeters wide. Some new designs have a longer tip and/or rise (called "rocker") and some have very little sidecut or reverse sidecut. Your local ski rental shop can steer you in the right direction when renting skis. |
